While I concur that there needs to be some sort of reform, I’m not sure how you can specifically link Christianity (following Christ) to a need for gun reform. It’s a helpful solution but it doesn’t mean that if Christians aren’t calling for that (and maybe have an alternate helpful plan - not the vague one this pastor called for) they are any less valuable of Christians. This statement makes it seem like the only way to get involved in a solution that helps to further the Christian faith (in regards to a spiritual awakening) is to call for gun reform and those are just not correlated.
